The 2016 Division II State Championship Football team will be honored Tuesday as part of the 12th Annual MaxPreps Football Tour of Championships presented by the National Guard.

This honor officially recognizes Aledo High School as one of the best football teams in the country with the presentation of the National Guard Ranking at halftime of the Aledo vs. Saginaw boys basketball game Tuesday.

Of the more than 17,000 high schools that field varsity football teams, Aledo is one of only 50 to be recognized across the United State of America on the 2016-17 MaxPreps Tour of Champions.
