Last Saturday at the Paschal Invitational, we had 12 Aledo cross country athletes to medal in four separate races. Gracie Morris finished in 1st place in the 6A Varsity Girls race (for the third week in a row) with a time of 18:47.
Medaling for the Varsity Boys was Graydon Morris who finished in 1st place with a time of 15:34. Harrison Tillman finished in 2nd place with a season best time of 16:15. Sophomore Avery Tilley also medaled in 12th place with a personal best time of 17:35. The Varsity Boys overall took 3rd place with a score of 71 just six points behind 1st place Grapevine.
The Varisty Girls were led by sophomore Reagan Brown who medaled in 20th place.
The JV Girls team overall finish was a strong 2nd place finish. Leading the way for the JV Girls team was freshman Sadie Cohen who medaled in 3rd place and also freshman Diana Peattie who medaled in 19th place.
The Boys team had five medalist - Reece Harr, Robert Myers, Stephen Canady, Stephen Furlow, and Tanner Knight - who finished in 1st place as a team.
This Saturday, all teams except the Varsity Boys (who will be off) will participate in the Keller Classic at Indian Springs Middle School.
