Wichita Falls High and Wichita Falls Rider traveled to Aledo High School last weekend for two non-district matches. AHS defeated WF High 16-3, and fell to Rider 10-9 in a close match.
In girls’ singles against Wichita Falls High, Nikki Adamie (6-3, 6-1), Priscilla Schimming (6-2, 6-2), Erin Davis (6-3, 7-6), Carly Siddons (6-4, 6-1), Courtney Andrews (6-2, 6-3) and Tristyn Fambrough (8-5) all posted wins with Allison Dale (6-7, 6-8) and Taryn Fambrough (4-6, 6-3, 8-10) falling to WF High.
The AHS boys swept singles as Alec Meendsen (6-0, 3-6, 10-8), Jared Kelm (6-0, 6-0), Lance McClure (6-3, 6-1), Miles Grubbs (4-6, 4-1, ret) Trey Fambrough (6-0, 6-1), James Young (6-1, 6-0) and Ben Colvin (8-2) all posted victories.
In doubles’ pairings posting wins: Kelm/Grubbs (8-3), Colvin/Young (8-0), Adamie/Davis (8-2), Schimmimg/Dale (8-4), Fambrough/Fambrough (8-5). Falling were Meendsen/McClure (8-9) and Andrews/Siddons (2-8).
Against Rider the doubles’ pairings of Alec Meendsen/Lance McClure (6-2, 6-2) and Ben Colvin/ James Young (6-2, 6-0) Courtney Andrews/Tristyn Fambrough (6-4, 6-4) and Trey Fambrough/Priscilla Schimming (6-1, 5-7, 10-3) all posted wins. Falling to Rider were Jared Kelm/Miles Grubbs (4-6, 2-6), Nikki Adamie/Erin Davis (4-6, 6-3, 11-9), and Allison Dale/Carly Siddons (2-6, 1-6).
In singles the boy’s took 5 of 6 matches with wins from Kelm (7-6(7-2), 6-1), McClure (6-2, 6-1), Grubbs (6-2, 6-1), Fambrough (7-5, 6-4), and Young (6-2, 6-3). Adamie (4-6, 0-6), Schimming (3-6, 2-6), Davis (1-6, 0-6), Dale (3-6, 2-6), Siddons (6-7, 5-7), and Andrews (1-6, 6-4, 7-10) lost their respective matches.
