The Aledo Varsity Tennis team took second place overall in the local Peach Bowl tournament hosted by Weatherford and Brock High Schools this past Friday, January 29. This tournament was the spring season opener for the RacquetCats and they came out strong placing in every division but boys’ singles.
Coming away with 1st place in mixed doubles was the team of Ian Leslie/Katie Siddons. The pairing of Jax Joiner/ Hogan Posey in Boys’ doubles placed 3rd with Michael Birdwell/Zane Martin coming in right behind them with 4th place. Girls’ doubles Georgia Posey/Maddie Farmer placed 2nd and Lyla Edwards/Allie Farmer were 4th place. Cambell Charrier placed 2nd in Girl’s singles winning the only medal in that category.
The RacquetCats face Nolan Catholic Wednesday in a team dual in Aledo.
