They AHS Varsity tennis team traveled this past Friday, March 25-26 to Abilene to compete in their last tournament before the District tournament.
With over 30 teams in each bracket the RacquetCats came out strong winning most of their first round play. Going into day two only one team came out on top. Girls A Doubles team Seniors Katie Siddons/Georgia Posey took 1st place winning all 5 of their matches. Boys A Doubles duo Jax Joiner/ Hogan Posey won all but 1 match putting them in 5th overall, only losing to a strong Del Rio team that took 1st place. Girls A singles Payton Bierle also came in 5th place overall losing only to an opponent from Prosper.
The RacquetCats travel to Wichita Falls on March 29-30 for the 5-5a District tournament.
