The JV Orange beat Boswell Thursday for the District Championship and pushed their season record to 10-0 behind a stout defense and a potent run game.

Behind the offensive line (Cameron Callaway, Chandler Knandel, Colby Thomas, Cooper Thompson, Jakob Lowery, Ryan Standifer) Tre Owens rushed for 165 yards and had 3 TD’s, Will Greenwood picked up 158 yards rushing and a TD on 18 carries. Mylen Hayhurst had a big catch for a crucial first down, and Tripp Jones had a 45 yard TD run and 2 catches to finish out the scoring on the night for the Bearcats.

The defense limited Boswell to 4 first downs on the night behind a big game from Jake McClendon who continually shut down Boswell's passing attack. Cody Stone (2 QB sacks, 3 hurries), Keshawn Baines, Dane Jones, Austin Jones, Zach Haynes (4 tackles, forced fumble), Ryan Anderson, and Logan Lopez (2 PBU) all played great defense on the night for the Bearcats.

Congratulations to the JV Orange football team on an outstanding year with a record of 10-0, scoring 493 points on offense and allowing 49 points on defense. The future is bright for these young men who will be counted on next year at the varsity level to continue the Bearcat Tradition of winning football.
