Aledo Varsity Tennis sweeps their district opener against Brewer High School with a score of 18-0, bringing their overall standing to 8-3.

Winning Boy’s Doubles partners were Line 1 Jacob Heckathorn/Francois Britz at 6-3, 7-5; Line 2 Ben Kurth/Casen Freeland at 6-1, 6-2 and Line 3 Noah Nottingham/Tom Ruminsky 6-3,6-0. Girls Doubles Line wins were Line 1 Elli Kate Bussmeir/Bryanna Orr 6-0, 6-1, Line 2 McKinley Hayes/Lila Satterfield 6-0, 6-0; and Line 3 Eleanor Jack/Patrice Loftin 6-1, 6-2. Mixed Doubles partners Paxton Psencik and Natalie Nawrocki swept their match at 6-0, 6-0.

Aledo Varsity continued their streak in singles play. For the boys lines, Line 1 Jacob Heckathorn won 6-4, 6-2, Line 2 Ben Kurth won 6-2, 6-1, Line 3 Tom Ruminsky 6-2, 6-0, Line 4 Francois Britz won 9-7; Line 5 Casen Freeland won 8-1, Line 6 Paxton Psencik won 8-3. Girls’ single lines gave up even fewer games with Lila Satterfield at Line 1 (6-2, 6-1), Bryanna Orr at Line 2 (6-2, 6-0), Elli Kate Bussmeir at Line 3 (6-0, 6-2), Sydney Byrd at Line 4 (8-2), McKinley Hayes at Line 5 (8-3) and Gracie Heydman at Line 6 (8-1).

The team willl travel to Granbury to play at 4 p.m. on Tuesday August 27 to face the Granbury Pirates.
